Abstract
These Regulations amend the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading Scheme Regulations 2012 to implement Regulation (EU) 2017/2392 of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Directive 2003/87/EC. The Directive continues current limitations of scope for aviation activities. The Regulations also prepare implementation of a global market based measure in this respect. Amendments concern, among other things, annual reports on emissions by operators and the definition of “aviation activity”.
