Abstract
These Regulations provide for the implementation in Northern Ireland of specified articles of Community legislation in respect to support for forage areas of a certain size and a notional livestock density in less favoured areas as indicated the Map of less-favoured farming areas in Northern Ireland. The Regulations, among other things, define the conditions of eligibility for less favoured area compensatory allowances, require land to be used for agriculture (as defined), provide for withholding of support in certain circumstances and define powers of entry and inspection of persons authorized by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
