Organic Farming (Aid)(Amendment) Regulations 1998 (S.I. No. 1606 of 1998).

These Regulations amend the principal Regulations which implement in part a zonal programme for the use of agricultural methods compatible with requirements of the environment under to article 7 of Council regulation (EC) No. 2078/92. An applicant shall be eligible for aid if the land on which organic farming is carried out is not less than 1 hectare. These Regulations allow for payment to a beneficiary by the Minister on an annual basis at any time during the year, whereas the principal Regulation prescribed payments to be made quarterly.
