Abstract
These Regulations amend the Packaging Waste (Data Reporting) (No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2023 (S.R. 2023 No. 25) (the principal Regulations). They introduce a definition for drink container; revise the definition of household packaging, clarify the division of responsibilities between brand owners, packers/fillers, importers and distributors; revise the definition of scheme article in relation to the Scottish Deposit and return Scheme, to require the Department of Agriculture Environment and Rural Affairs to publish a list of large producers and to make other amendments.
