Abstract
This Order makes provision for the issue of phytosanitary certificates or an intra-EU phytosanitary communication document (IPC) for export of plants, plant products or other objects to third countries to satisfy the requirements of those countries' phytosanitary regulations for purposes of Article V of the International Plant Protection Convention 1951 or any arrangement corresponding to that Article. The Orders provides for the making of applications for and the issue of phytosanitary certificates and IPC documents. It prescribes fees payable by applicants for such certificates and provides that it shall be an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement or to intentionally fail to disclose material information for the purpose of obtaining the issue of a certificate.
