Plastic Materials and Articles in Contact with Food (England) Regulations 2009 (S.I. No. 205 of 2009).

These Regulations implement in England Community legislation introducing a positive Community list of additives approved for use in the manufacture of plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with foods. The Regulations, among other things; prohibit specified activities in relation to any plastic material or article which fails to meet the appropriate required standards set out in the Regulations; prohibit the use of monomers and additives in the manufacture of plastic materials and articles; and set out standards for monomer or an additive and sets migration limits.
