Pollution Prevention and Control (Designation of Directives) (England and Wales) Order 2009 (S.I. No. 1517 of 2009)

This Order designates Directive 2000/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council (establishing a framework for Community action in the field of water policy) and Directive 2006/118/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council (on the protection of groundwater against pollution and deterioration), as relevant Directives for the purposes of paragraph 20(2)(c) of Schedule 1 to the Pollution Prevention and Control Act 1999. Schedule 1 specifies regulation-making powers of the competent authority for England and Wales in relation with particular purposes for which provision may be made under section 2 of the Act.
