Abstract
This Order amends the Renewables Obligation (Scotland) Order 2009 by, among other things: implementing Articles 17 to 19 of Directive 2009/28/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources; inserting new articles 17AA, 17AB and 58A relating to certificates for offshore wind generating stations; making provision with respect to information to be provided to the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority where electricity is generated from biomass; modifying definitions that preclude from eligibility for renewables obligation certificates any generating station which has already receive capital or revenue funding under a statutory grant programme operated by either the Scottish Ministers or the Secretary of State. The Directive is implemented with respect to fossil-derived bioliquid and determination of fossil fuel proportion of waste and of biomass which is composed of fossil fuel.
