Abstract
These Regulations amend the Sea Fisheries (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Jersey) Regulations 1998 by replacing regulation 5 and by adding regulation 5A. Regulation 5 concerns a ban on fishing for soft-shelled spider crabs in certain periods. Regulation 5A provides for protection of soft-shelled spider crabs from damage by passive gear (as defined). A person must not use passive gear during a specified period and in a specified area of the sea.
