Soft Fruit Plants (Scotland) Order 1991 (S.I. No. 1905, S. 159 of 1991).

These Regulations regulate the sale and planting of strawberry plants, raspberry plants, and blackcurrant bush ( plants ). No person shall sell or cause to be sold any plants which do not form part of certified stock or approved stock , unless licensed by the Secretary of State under regulation 8 (reg. 3). Regulations 4 and 5 provide for the certification of stock in respect of purity and health. Regulations 7 prohibits the planting of any raspberry plant unless it forms part of certified or approved stock. Approved stock is stock approved by the Secretary of State other than certified stock.
