Abstract
These Regulations make provision with respect to control of BSE in the Northern Ireland. They provide that the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is the competent authority for the purposes of the Community TSE Regulation (except in Schedule 6, where the competent authority is the Food Standards Agency). The Regulations further deal with approvals, authorizations, licences and registrations, occupier's duties, suspension, amendment and revocations of approvals, an appeals procedure and inspection. The Schedules contain provisions relative, among other things, to eradication measures and the control of feeding stuffs.
