Abstract
This Order designates a river basin district as required by section 4(1) of the Water Environment and Water Services (Scotland) Act 2003. This is done by reference to maps prepared for the purposes of the Order and laid before the Scottish Parliament in accordance with section 4(4) of that Act. The maps identify the area of the river basin district, and, in accordance with sections 4(2) and (3) of that Act, show the relevant bodies of groundwater that are excluded from the river basin district. This Order also provides that the river basin district is to be known as "Scotland River Basin District". Under section 4(6) of the Act, the Scottish Environment Protection Agency is under an obligation to make copies of this Order and of the maps available at all reasonable times for public inspection free of charge.
