Water Environment (River Basin Management Planning: Further Provision) (Scotland) Regulations 2013 (S.I. No. 323 of 2013).

These Regulations make provision for the protection of the water environment in designated river basins. In part they implement Directive 2000/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a framework for Community action in the field of water policy, Directive 2008/105/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on environmental quality standards in the field of water policy, Directive 2006/118/EC the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of groundwater against pollution and Directive 2006/44/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the quality of fresh waters needing protection or improvement in order to support fish life.
