Abstract
These Regulations make provision for implementing in part Articles 6(2) and 8 of Council Directive 98/83/EC on the quality of water intended for human consumption by requiring the Department of Environment or the Department for Regional Development to serve a notice on a domestic supplier in specified circumstances. The notice requires to remedy a failure within the period specified in the notice. Consumers shall be notified of any remedial action.
