Abstract
These Regulations amend the Welfare of Animals (Slaughter or Killing) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1996 in relation with replacement of Council Directive 93/119/EC with Council Regulation (EC) No 1099/2009 and to: insert a new regulation (26A) on the prosecution of summery offences; provide with respect to the use of gas to kill birds in a slaughter house, knacker s yard (Schedule 7) or at the premises where the birds are kept.
