Abstract
This instrument brings the official controls relating to animal welfare in transport under the same regime as other official controls. Regulation 2 amends, in relation to England and Scotland, Annex 2 to Council Regulation (EC) No 1/2005 which relates to the preparation and completion of journey logs that are required under Article 5(4) of that Regulation for certain journeys involving the transportation of animals. The new Annex 2 also clarifies also obligations of the organizer and keeper.
