Abstract
This Act makes several amendments in the principal Act, such as: Section 13 regarding the provisions of bye-laws of a co-operative society; Section 16 of the principal Act regarding the registration fee of co-operative societies; Section 96 prohibiting the sales of equity shares to others than members of a co-operative society; Section 120 regarding investment of funds; Section 125 on allocation of surplus; and Section 129 regarding the distribution of any surplus by way of dividend or bonus amongst its members.
