Fisheries Regulations 1987.

These Regulations implement the Grenada Fisheries Act of 1986. The 33 Regulations are divided into seven Parts: Preliminary (I); Fisheries Advisory Committee (II); Foreign Fishing Vessels (III); Local Fishing Licences (IV); Fish Processing Establishment Licences (V); Fishery Conservation Measures (VI); Miscellaneous Provisions (VII). Fifteen Schedules are attached to the Regulations.
The Regulations, among other things: establish a Fisheries Advisory Committee and define functions of the Committee; provide rules for activities of foreign fishing vessels in Grenada fishery waters and provide with respect to foreign fishing licences; provide with respect to local fishing licences and define conditions for issue or renewal of such licences; provide the form of (an application for) a fish processing establishment licence; establish conditions to which a fish processing establishment licence shall be subject; establish fishery conservation measures for lobsters, turtles, conch, sea urchins and oysters; define rules for the use of nets and other gear; provide with respect to the registration of fishing nets; provide for the protection of coral and coral reefs; place quantity limits on import and export of fish; exempt fisheries research; and define offences.
The Schedules prescribe forms and fees for purposes of the Act and these Regulations.
