Abstract
This Grenada’s second Nationally Determined Contribution represents the country’s continued commitment to achieving the objectives of the Paris Agreement towards limiting the increase of the global average temperature and reducing the greenhouse gas emissions. The Contribution also meets the requirements of the guidance on information to facilitate clarity, transparency and understanding of information on the matter. Adaptation and mitigation measures defined by the Contribution address the following sectors: energy including transport; waste; forestry; industrial processes and product use. The Contribution specifies the planning process for its definition, focusing on priorities and national matters, including: sustainable development; damages valuation; disaster risk reduction; emissions and natural disasters, drought, hurricane, forest fires.
