Abstract
These Regulations qualify the following industries as priority sectors: (i) tourism accommodation; (ii) agriculture, agribusiness, and agricultural research; (iii) restauranteering; (iv) tourism; (v) manufacturing; (vi) education; (vii) health and wellness services;(viii) medical services; (ix) sports; (x) business processing outsourcing; (xi) creative arts; (xii) energy; (xiii) information technology services and telecommunication services. These Regulations lay down rules regarding qualifying investment and qualifying cost. According to these Regulations, agriculture, agribusiness, and agricultural research includes (a) the cultivation of plants for their aromatic, savoury or medicinal properties; (b) the cultivation of flowers, fruits, vegetables and ornamental plants in a garden, orchard or nursery;(c) the cultivation of plants in liquid nutrient; (d) the breeding and rearing of domestic animals; (e) forestry and mining; (f) fisheries and aquaculture; (g) processing services that add value to any activity under paragraphs (a) to (f).
