Abstract
This Act lays down provisions as regards the declaration of occurrence of national disaster, emergency powers of Prime Minister, and offences and penalties. The Prime Minister may enact regulations to manage and control essential supplies and services, including measures considered reasonably necessary to address conditions during a declared national disaster in Grenada. The Prime Minister’s powers include authorizing police officers to enter and search premises and to seize items where there are reasonable grounds to believe they constitute evidence of an offence under the regulations.
