Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property (Amendment) Act No. 1 of 2018.

This Act amends paragraph (f) of Section 3 which lays down the objectives of the Principal Act, as "promote local industry, sustainable development and protection of the environment”. Furthermore, this Act makes several amendments regarding the establishment of Office of Public Procurement; responsibilities of procuring entities and units; establishment and responsibilities of evaluation committee; local competitive bidding and regional and international competitive tendering; and the establishment of a Central Disposal Committee. This Act inserts new section on the establishment of the Central Procurement Unit and adds the new Schedule I attached to the Act.
