Action Plan of Agricultural Issues Committee of Georgian Parliament 2018-2020

The Action Plan of the Agricultural Issues Committee of the Georgian Parliament 2018-2020 is a national sectoral action plan of Georgia. Its main objectives include: legislative harmonization according to the EU-Georgia Association Agreement and the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA); supporting the national rural and agricultural strategy though adequate legislation; better management, planning and transparency of the legislative process; monitoring of implementation of the obligations undertaken under the DCFTA; assessment of the implementation of the priorities of the national rural and agricultural strategy; monitoring of the budgetary spending; ensuring the legislative supervision and transparency; openness, transparency, public participation and accountability in the committee’s activities according to the principles of the Open Government Partnership; strengthening the committee’s partnership with civil society organization, local governments, academics and international organizations; increasing the awareness of the public and education about agricultural issues; and improving the efficiency of the committee.
