Abstract
The Agricultural Extension Strategy 2018-2019 is a national sectoral strategy of Georgia. Its main objective is to reform the existing farmer information-consultation system into an extension service that is oriented towards the real needs of farmers. The extension services will be made available on the national, regional and municipal levels. The state extension service will be formed as an independent agency accounting to the agricultural ministry of Georgia. The important additional objective of this Strategy is to reduce rural poverty, to protect the environment, to support the European integration of Georgia.
