Decree No. 493 of 1998 of Georgian President on Primary Measures for Protecting Soil from Erosion

This Decree provides for the primary measures for protecting soil from erosion. It modifies rules for the State Commission on Land Use and Protection, and directs the Georgian National Academy of Sciences and the Georgian Academy of Agricultural Sciences to undertake theoretical, laboratory and field research on soil erosion issues in Georgia and to provide recommendations. The Ministry of Education is also directed to encourage inclusion of protection from erosion issues in curricula.
