Abstract
The Ecotourism Strategy for Georgia 2020-2030 is a national sectoral strategy of Georgia. Its main goals aim for authentic, high quality, year-round touristic products and services based on the country’s nature and rich living culture are developed; local people actively provide ecotourism services and benefit from them. The inclusion of local communities in the ecotourism development sustains its resources; marketing and communication meet the demands of the ecotourism target markets and fosters high environmental awareness of the visitors; the sources for ecotourism - the country’s nature and rich living culture - are long-term preserved; and the management of ecotourism on all levels follows an multisectoral, interdisciplinary and participative approach based on national legislation.
