Abstract
The Georgia - National Health Care Strategy 2011-2015 is a national sectoral strategy. Its main objectives are to reduce inequalities in access to medical care; increase the number of insured citizens; develop primary health care; improve access to medicines; increase access to medical care for people with special needs; improve quality of medical services; protect patient’s rights; prevent diseases and assure preparedness and response to health threats; enhance public health system; enhance maternal and child health services; assure emergency and disaster preparedness; improve management of the health sector, increase efficiency; and evaluate antibiotic resistance of pathogens.
