The Georgia’s Updated Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) is a national policy framework establishing the country’s commitments on climate change for the period 2026-2035. It defines the timeframe and baseline year used for greenhouse gas accounting and sets national targets for reducing total net emissions at the economy‑wide level, while also addressing adaptation to climate change impacts within the same framework.
The NDC sets out how emission reduction efforts are organized across the national economy. It identifies the main sectors covered by mitigation action and specifies, for each of them, the types of actions envisaged to contribute to the national targets. These include changes in energy generation and use, transport, buildings, industrial activity, waste management, agriculture, and land use and forestry.
