Government Resolution No. 446 validating the "Technical Regulation on ceramic products intended for contact with food".

This "Technical regulation on ceramic products intended for contact with food" establishes specific requirements for ceramic products and regulates the conditions of their production and placement on the market by the business operator. It aims at effective functioning of the internal market of ceramic products intended for contact with food, protection of human health and consumer rights. The requirements defined by this Technical Regulation apply to ceramic products placed on the market, which are manufactured and/or placed on the market for one of the following purposes: (a) intended for contact with food; (b) are already in contact with food; and (c) are intended to come into contact with food. The state control of ceramic products intended for contact with food defined by this Technical Regulation is carried out by the National Food Agency. Placement on the market of ceramic products intended for contact with food is authorized only if they meet the requirements defined by this Technical Regulation. The conformity declaration for ceramic products intended for contact with food must contain the following information: (a) business operator-manufacturer and importer of finished ceramic products, address and identification data; (b) name of ceramic products; (c) date of declaration; and (d) confirmation that the ceramic products meet the established requirements.
