Abstract
These Guidelines concern the provision of food information to consumers. More specifically, it provides for the requirements for providing food information to consumers; ingredients; substances and products causing allergies and hypersensitivity; listing ingredient quantities; food natto weight; listing the expiration date of food products or the “use by” date; special terms for storage and use; liable business operators; listing the country or place of origin of food products; food use instructions; listing the factual alcohol concentration for drinks; information about nutritional values; date of production, batch number; remote sales of food products; additional information about food; additional required information; labelling of genetically modified food; making nutritional and health claims on food; and liability.
