Abstract
The Imereti Regional Development Strategy 2014-2021 is a regional multi-sectoral strategy of Georgia’s Imereti region. Its main priorities are to ensure a management system that is oriented toward the needs of the region’s residents; to develop basic infrastructure and public services; to support a healthy, secure and socially developed society; to support the development of education, culture and sport; to integrate different groups living in the region into the development process of the region; to ensure ecologically clean, safe and sustainable environmental development; to promote Imereti as the place for businesses; to develop rural areas and agriculture; to develop rural areas; to promote Imereti as the Western tourism hub for Georgia; to create tourism products and to promote the tourism potential of the region; and to improve inter-regional, cross-border and international relation.
