National Maternal & Newborn Health Strategy 2017-2030 and Action Plan 2017-2019 for its Implementation

The National Maternal & Newborn Health Strategy 2017-2030 and Action Plan 2017-2019 for its Implementation are national sectoral strategic documents of Georgia. Its main objective is to maintain and expand evidence-based and effective interventions in order to save mothers and newborns and to protect their health; as well as to strengthen reproductive health sector directly linked to them and to ensure an universal access to high quality services. Among others, the Strategy provides for the issues related to breast-feeding, and nutrition of newborns and mothers.
