Abstract
The National Non-Communicable Disease Prevention and Control Strategy 2023-2030 and Action Plan 2023-2025 is a national cross-sectoral strategy and action plan. Its main objective is to reduce the burden on the national level of illnesses, deaths, and disabilities related to non-communicable diseases. Among others, it provides for reduction of deaths caused by non-communicable diseases, including diabetes; promotion of healthy lifestyle; early screening of such diseases; more effective management of non-communicable diseases. Among others, the Strategy aims to improve labelling of salt, sugar and trans fats in food, reducing salt in food, regulating school lunch menus, and creating regulations that will reduce the influence on children of any type of marketing of unhealthy foods.
