Abstract
The National Strategy on Chemical, Biological, Radiation and Nuclear Threat Reduction for 2021-2030 is a national sectoral strategy of Georgia. Its main objective is to form the state vision about the chemical, biological, radiation and nuclear threats and to determine the next steps to fight these threats. Among others, the document provides for prevention of the chemical, biological, radiation and nuclear threats; a detailed analysis of the existing problems; inventorying of the objects posing such threat; developing a list of highly hazardous substances and materials; ensuring the safety from the chemical, biological, radiation and nuclear threats; a regular control of the employees working with the chemical, biological, radiation and nuclear threats; safety from the chemical, biological, radiation and nuclear substances/materials; prevention of proliferation of the chemical, biological, radiation and nuclear substances/materials; improving border control measures; developing an incident response plan; developing standard operational procedures for responders; improving the expert-criminalist capabilities; coordinating response and decision-making measures; and investigation and damage assessment.
