Order No. 3 of 2013 of Minister of Environment and Natural Resources of Georgia on Charter of Agency of Protected Areas of Georgia

This Order approves the charter of the Agency of Protected Areas of Georgia. The charter consists of 15 articles: General provisions (1); Scope of work and objectives of the Agency (2); Authority of the Agency (3); Property of the Agency (4); Financing of the Agency (5); Action of the Agency that require authorization (6); State control (7); Accounting (8); Organization, and rights and duties of the management of the Agency (9); Structure of the central staff of the Agency (10); Competences and management of the structural units of the Agency (11); Consultation Council (11(1)); Territorial administration by the Agency (12); Liquidation of the Agency (13); and Amendments and additions to the charter (14). The Agency is responsible for managing the system of state reserves, national parks, natural monuments, reserves, protected landscapes, biosphere reserves, world heritage sites and wetlands of international importance (collectively known as protected areas of Georgia).
