Order No 31 of 2013 of Minister of Environment and Natural Resources of Georgia on Charter for Environmental Impact Assessment

The Order regulates environmental impact assessments (EIA) in Georgia. It consists of nine articles: Scope of application (1); Principles of EIA (2); Procedure of EIA (3); Activities requiring EIA (4); Stages of EIA (5); Content of EIA (6); Public and confidential information in EIA (7); Regulation of EIA (8); and Financing EIA (9). According to the document, EIA must cover multiple technical, technological, ecological, social and economic factors providing a complex discussion of each. The Order also provides for public participation in EIA processes.
