Resolution No. 161 of 2019 of Georgian Government on Rules for Determining and Approving Sanitary Protection Zones of Groundwater Objects that are Subject to Mineral Extraction License

This Resolution approves the rules determining and approving sanitary protection zones of groundwater objects that are subject to mineral extraction license. It consists of 13 articles: Scope of regulation and purpose (1); Definition of terms (2); General provisions (3); Entities responsible for creating and approving sanitary protection zone borders (4); Sanitary protection zones and their regime (5); First – strict regime zone (6); Second – restricted regime zone (7); Third – monitoring zone (8); Border of sanitary protection zones (9); First – determining the borders of a strict regime zone (10); Second – determining the borders of a restricted regime zone (11); Third - determining the borders of a monitoring zone (12); and Permitting variations (13).
