Resolution No. 36 of 2023 of Georgian Government on Rules for Protection of Animals at the Time of Killing

This Resolution approves the rules for the protection of animals at the time of killing. It consists of five chapters: Animal protection at the time of killing (I); Main requirements (II); Additional requirements for the abattoir (III); Depopulation and urgent killing (IV); Competent agencies (V). The Resolution also approves Annex No. 1 – Methods of sedation and special requirements; Annex No. 2 – Location, construction and equipment of abattoirs; Annex No. 3 – Working rules for abattoirs; and Annex No. 4 – Conformity between activities and competency test requirements.
