Abstract
The Resolution adopts specific provisions for the control and eradication of bluetongue. It consists of 10 chapters: General provisions and definitions (I); Notification, monitoring and control (II); Measures when there is suspicion and confirmation of bluetongue (III); Restriction of movement of animals, their semen, ova and embryos (IV); Minimum requirements imposed on bluetongue monitoring and surveillance programmes (V); Criteria imposed on buildings free of vectors (VI); Conditions for exempting from the prohibitions imposed on transportation under certain provisions of this Resolution (VII); Conditions for exempting from the prohibitions imposed on transportation from slaughterhouses under certain provisions of this Resolution (VIII); Criteria for determining seasonal periods that are free from vectors (IX); and Contingency plans and minimum criteria (X). The implementing agency authorized under the Resolution is the National Food Agency of Georgia.
