Resolution No. 456 of 2017 of Georgian Government on Marking Food Lot
Country
Type of law
Regulation
Abstract
The Resolution regulates food lot marking in Georgia. The rules under the Resolution apply to food which is used to form part of a lot, if needed. The regulation requires that food formed into a lot needs to be identified and marked. This marking would be “L” except in cases where that lot marking indication is clearly distinguishable from the other indications on the packaging of the food. The lot marking does not need to be used to food which is marked or labelled with an indication of minimum durability or “use by” date which consists at least of the uncoded indication of the day and month.
