Resolution No. 565 of 2017 of Georgian Government on Establishment of National Agency of Mineral Resources

The Resolution establishes the National Agency of Mineral Resources of Georgia. The Agency is a legal entity supervised by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. The Agency inherited those functions of the National Environmental Agency that pertain to management of mineral resources (among others, contracting) and the associated regulatory fees. However, the licensing for mineral resources is going to be carried out by the Environmental Supervision Department of Georgia - an entity existing under the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Georgia (8 articles).
