Resolution No. 587 of 2018 of Georgian Government on Animal Health Protection Rules for Production, Processing, Distribution, and Importation of Food of Animal Origin for Human Consumption

This Resolution approves the animal health protection rules for production, processing, distribution, and importation of food of animal origin for human consumption. It consists of three chapters: General provisions (I); animal health protection rules applicable to all steps of production, processing and distribution (II); and Import (III). The Resolution approves Annex No. 1 – Diseases related to trade of food of animal original and control measures provided for under the Georgian legislation, Annex No. 2 – Special marking of meat safety, and Annex No. 3 – Elimination through processing of certain risks related to animal health issues concerning meat and milk.
