Abstract
The Resolution provides rules for registration and deregistration as residents of high mountainous areas. Under Law of Georgia on High Mountainous Areas, the registered residents are afforded various types of state benefits and incentives, including agricultural development programs. The Resolution consists of 17 articles: General provisions (1); Definition of terms (2); Main principles for granting the status of the resident of high mountainous areas (3); Right to file an application for receiving the status (4); Documents that need to be filed for receiving the status (5); Authority to consider the application (6); Consideration of the application (7); Decision on granting or denying the status (8); Monitoring of the status (9); Revocation of the status (10); Suspension of the status (11); Grounds to reinstatement of the status (12); Rule of appellation (13); Request of information (14); Invalidation of acts of mayors/heads of local municipalities (15); Entering information into the registry of residents of high mountainous areas (16); and Transitional provisions (17).
