Abstract
This Resolution approves the charter of Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. It consists of ten articles: General provisions (1); Scope of work and functions of the Ministry (2); System of the Ministry (3); Central staff of the Ministry (4); Legal entities under public law within the system of the Ministry (5); Rights and duties of the management of the Ministry (6); Main functions and competences of the subordinate structural units of the Ministry (7); Property of the Ministry (8); and Final provisions (10). The main functions of the Ministry are: economic policy; analysis of the economic development of Georgia; sustainable development; trade and investments; encouragement of production and services; tourism; management and disposal of the state property; construction policy; electronic communications; development and encouragement of innovative ecosystem and information technologies; postal services; transport and logistics; standardization and metrology; accreditation; restricted circulation forms; development of capital markets; reform of the pension system; development of the country brand; sustainable development of the minerals industry; development, implementation and monitoring of the state policy, strategy and programs in the energy sector; encouragement of investments in the energy sector of Georgia within its competence and undertaking additional actions; and public safety and disaster management preparedness.
