Abstract
The Resolution provides rules for registration of bovine livestock and their stalls. It consists of 17 articles: General provisions (1); Purpose of registration of bovine livestock and their stalls (2); Definition of terms (3); Elements of registration-identification (4); Ear tag (5); Passport (6); Stall registration and stall book (7); Electronic database (8); Herd (9); Seasonal pastures (10); Identification-registration of imported bovine livestock (11); Obligations of owners of slaughterhouses (12); Obligations of owners of bovine livestock (13); State control (14); Restrictive measures (15); Identified bovine livestock (16); and Liability (17). The purposes of the Resolution include creating a unified database of the animals; having complete information on the animals; protection of animal health and provision of reliable information to consumers; undertaking veterinary control of movement and export/import of the animals; ensuring labeling; ensuring transparency and traceability; and supporting breeding practices.
