Abstract
The Resolution regulates notifications on phyto-sanitary noncompliance in international transit. It consists of 10 articles: General provisions (1); Purpose and scope of application (2); Definition of terms (3); Notification on arrest of goods that is noncompliant with phyto-sanitary standards at the Georgian customs borders (4); Grounds to notification on noncompliance with phyto-sanitary standards (5); Identification of harmful organisms (6); Form and manner of sending notification by the National Food Agency of Georgia (7); Receiving notification on noncompliance of goods with phyto-sanitary standards that are to be exported from Georgia (8); Identifying noncompliant imported goods in transit (9); and Re-export (10). The Resolution also approves a form of notification of noncompliance and emergency action. The purpose of the document is to support safe trade of plants and plant products.
