Abstract
The State Concept of Gender Equality of Georgia is a national multi-sectoral concept. Its main objective is to implement the equality principle in the laws, policies, practices, and life of Georgia.
More specifically, it provides for the measures in all aspects of life in order to achieve the equality; development of the legislation in gender equality; participation in the political and civil lives; economic strengthening and protection of labor rights; overcoming gender-based violence, violence against women and domestic violence; elimination of child marriages and other harmful practices; implementing the agenda of the women, peace and security; addressing the human trafficking and sexual exploitation problems; supporting gender equality via education, healthcare, art, culture and sport; raising awareness; and gender mainstreaming.
