Strategy for the Development of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Region for 2014-2021

The Strategy for the Development of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Region for 2014-2021 is a regional multi-sectoral strategy of Georgia’s Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region. Its main priorities are public government capacity building; improvement of basic infrastructure; effective management and use of the natural resources and material assets; development of production and energy sectors; further development of transport communications and international transportation; agriculture development; attraction of direct foreign investments to the region; development of small and medium businesses; diverse development of tourism industry; improvement of utility and other public services; formation of the effective system of social security and health care; development of education, science, culture and sports; implementation of effective environmental activities; and development of mass media and civil sector and reduction of gender inequality.
