Abstract
This Act empowers the Minister to restrict the importation of animals so as to prevent the introduction or spreading of diseases in Ghana. The Act shall apply to animals and diseases as specified in section 12. The Minister, however, may extend or restrict the application sphere of the Act by legislative instrument. The Act further provides for powers of veterinary inspectors in relation with the control of importation.
