Abstract
This Act makes provision for measures to prevent the spreading of diseases affecting animals in Ghana.
It defines powers of the Minister and “the veterinary authority”. Measures include the declaration of infected areas, isolation of infected animals, notification of diseases, disinfection, or destruction of animals and inspection. The Act also provides for the appointment of veterinary guards.
